Chicago Marathon run in Honor of James

To recognize and honor the efforts of my delightful grandson James, who with undaunted spirit has met the challenges of living with Fragile X, I plan to run the 2018 Chicago Marathon.

The long and arduous training runs, over a 5 month period, has given me the time to think about the challenges faced by people with disabilities every single day of their lives. Their courage is a great motivator. When I feel that I cannot take another step, I remind myself that I have the ability to choose my challenges; people with disabilities do not have that privilege.
